Legacy Paints are designed for professional use, offering a scrubbable, stain-resistant, and fade-resistant finish for interior applications.
How much coverage can I expect?
Approximately 75 square feet per 16 oz, depending on surface and application.
How long does the paint last?
Unopened, the paint has a shelf life of up to 5 years when stored properly.
Application & Use
How should I prepare my surface?
Proper prep is key for best results:
- Clean your piece thoroughly
- Lightly scuff sand to remove unstable or peeling finishes
- Clean again before painting
- Use our clear bonding primer for difficult surfaces like melamine or formica
How long does it take to dry?
Dry time is approximately 30 minutes.
When can I apply another coat?
You can recoat in 1–2 hours.
How long does it take to fully cure?
Full cure takes approximately 20 days. Your piece can be used with care before that, but durability will continue to improve during the curing process.
How should I clean up?
Clean-up is simple—just use soap and water.

In most cases, no. Legacy Paints feature a built-in adhesion and low tannin stain-blocking primer, along with a durable finish that typically does not require a topcoat.
What kind of finish can I expect?
Our paints provide a soft eggshell to satin finish, depending on the color—giving your projects a polished, professional look.
Is the paint safe to use?
Yes. Our formula is water-based, low VOC, non-toxic, and made in small batches.
